Professional development workshop for instructors

General information:

An instructor workshop is a course designed to renew driving instructor qualifications.
At the end of the workshop, each participant receives a certificate. The document must be handed in to the head of the district, no later than 7 January of the following year. If the instructor is late and does not deliver the certificate by the deadline, he/she will be struck off the register of instructors.

Course programme:

Theoretical classes - 10 hours

• Psychology - 1 hr.
• Teaching methodology - 1 hour.
• Driving techniques and vehicle operation - 1 hour.
• Traffic law - 1 hour.
• Road safety - 1 hr.
• Principles of running a driver training centre - 1 hour.
• Discuss the most common mistakes made by instructors when conducting driver candidate training - 2 hrs.
• Discussion of the most common mistakes made by driver candidates during the state examination - 2 hrs.

Practical classes - 4 hours.

• Carrying out, under the supervision of the instructor leading the workshop, the practical part of the training for driver candidates conducted on the manoeuvring area, with the participants of the workshop acting as candidates for drivers or drivers - 1 hour.
• Carrying out, under the supervision of the instructor leading the workshop, the practical part of the training for driver candidates carried out in traffic, with the participants of the workshop acting as driver candidates or drivers - 1 hour.
• Evaluation of the way in which the workshop instructor conducts driver candidate training and joint discussion of mistakes made by instructors - 2 hrs.
